Roland Mouret has collaborated with French print designer, Pierre-Louis Mascia, and luxury French boutique, Département Féminin, to create the ‘Bing Bang Boom’ scarf.
100% silk and also available with rabbit fur, the beautifully double printed scarf draws inspiration from the worlds of graphic design and abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock.
The print was curated from signature and exclusive Roland Mouret patterns developed in-house over the course of the brand’s history. The result is an accumulation of telescopic rhythms, infinite changes in volume, vibrations, and geometric shapes, creating an impression of depth and complexity to the limited edition scarf.
A sweep of red gives the classic Mouret monochrome palette a refreshing lift, effortlessly transitioning from season to season.
“Working with Carole Bénazet (founder of Département Féminin) and Pierre-Louis Mascia took me back to my roots, and really epitomized what French creative culture is about. I have a wonderful emotional attachment to the project and we are thrilled with the end result.” – Roland Mouret
To celebrate the collaborative project, Mouret has created a short film to visualize the essence of the ‘Bing Bang Boom’ – seen here: http://youtu.be/78T00wmJnnw
The exclusive ‘Bing Bang Boom’ scarf will be available in store at 8 Carlos Place and online at www.RolandMouret.com from mid-May 2014.
